L'analista sostiene infatti che nel corso della seconda metà del 2011 si andrà incontro ad una carenza nelle scorte delle memorie DRAM , con una situazione che vede sempre meno produttori taiwanesi impegnati nel mercato and major companies engaged in the production of memories that will focus more on the production of mobile DRAM with the effect of reducing the density of "bit" Wafer el 20% compared to conventional DRAM DDR3.
"We are seeing a better balance between demand el ' offer on the DRAM market, while for the NAND flash memories the dynamic is more difficult to predict. The prices and inventory levels are encouraging," said Mosesmann. On the market situation NAND flash another analyst Jim Handy Objective-Analysis, noted that in 2011 the demand for this kind of products will quite high, but the ASP (average selling price - average selling prices) will experience a sharp decline in the fourth quarter, the order of about 40%.
Mosesmann also notes that the DRAM market for server systems is undergoing a good situation, even earlier than the launch platform "Intel Romley" (combination of Sandy Bridge processors Patsburg-E chipset, with support both Xeon processors LGA-1356, both LGA-2011) which will take place during the second half of the year for which configurations are provided with double or triple amounts of memory than the previous generation.
