Pirateria software in Italia, sempre peggio
Software Piracy
Well, it seems that the enforcement actions have failed to moderation by the phenomenon. In Italy, in particular, in the course of 91 operations of the Guardia di Finanza - which required the collaboration of the BSA - "has been found illegal software with a value of more than 1.5 million € and administrative penalties were imposed for 3 million €.
"More than 56 business leaders and entrepreneurs have also been reported to the Judiciary for breaches of the law on copyright," the document continues.
" According to IDC data last at least 49% of software is illegal in Italy ," said Matthew Mille, president of BSA Italy. "And that piracy remains a problem endemic to our system is demonstrated by the fact that, as the data is statistically the rough, in the course of its investigation, the Guardia di Finanza discovers companies that use pirated software in as much as 62% of cases, a percentage far higher as estimated by IDC. "
" These figures are inconceivable in an advanced nation European Union. For this we consider essential that all stakeholders - users, but dealers, consultants and systems integrators - to understand that a legal and transparent market is a core value for everyone, not just for software companies.
